The localisation of ASEAN-ERAT training is one of the key strategies to strengthen local capacity by adapting ASEAN-ERAT tools and mechanisms—recognised as regional standards—to support nationally led responses that reflect the specific needs, best practices, and coordination structures of each ASEAN Member State.

The objectives of Localisation of ASEAN-ERAT Training are as follows:
1. To strengthen the capacity of NDMOs through enhancing the local training curriculum adopted from the ASEAN-ERAT course curriculum in the local context.
2. To support the NDMOs in increasing the local response capacity by training ASEAN-ERAT In-country as trainers and generating trained local responders.
